How to choose plastic packaging?

Plastic packaging is widely used in modern life, and there are various types of plastic packaging on the market. So, how should we choose plastic packaging?
1. Look at the appearance. The appearance of qualified plastic packaging must be intact and undamaged, with clear manufacturer information, material information, and usage labeling. The arrow triangle on the packaging and the numbers inside represent the plastic material used in this packaging. For example, size 5 represents PP polypropylene, which can be safely placed in a microwave oven.
2. Smell the odor. Legitimate plastic packaging has no odor. If you smell a foul or irritating odor, it indicates the use of toxic additives or the synthesis of recycled waste, and cannot be used for packaging food.
3. Look for impurities. Place the plastic packaging in a transparent environment for observation. If it is a low-quality product, most of the impurities can be seen as small black dots.
4. Touch the texture. High quality plastic packaging has a smooth and even surface, and a slight pulling force can clearly feel its toughness, while poor quality plastic packaging has a rough and uneven surface, which is easily deformed or even damaged under force.
5. Choose a design. High level plastic packaging manufacturers not only ensure quality, but also invest a lot of effort in design. The design style of the packaging bag should meet the packaging requirements of the product and be able to attract consumers' attention. Excellent packaging design can greatly increase product sales.
Common materials for plastic packaging include:
1. PET polyester. Commonly found in mineral water bottles and carbonated beverage bottles, harmful substances can be released when heated. Keeping mineral water in the trunk of a car for a long time in daily life is actually unhealthy.
2. PE polyethylene. Common cling film and plastic film are made of this material, which has weak heat resistance. Therefore, food packaged in PE must be removed from the packaging before heating.
3. PP polypropylene. It is commonly used in soybean milk bottles, juice drink bottles, microwave lunch boxes, etc. It is the only packaging material that can be safely put into the microwave oven for heating.
4. PS polystyrene. Commonly used for bowl shaped instant noodle boxes and fast food boxes. This material has a certain degree of heat resistance, so it can be used to hold food, but the temperature of the food should not be too high to avoid releasing chemicals that can affect health.
Common types of plastic packaging bags include:
1. Three sided sealing. Suitable for storing snacks, seasonings, etc., with good barrier and heat resistance.
2. Eight sided sealing. Generally used as packaging for coffee and nuts, it is characterized by a wide and flat display surface.
3. Zipper bag. Zipper bags are commonly used for packaging clothing and office supplies, and can also be used for foods that are difficult to consume all at once and require multiple opening for consumption.
4. Suction nozzle bag. It can hold liquids, such as fruit juice and children's drinks. This type of packaging is commonly used and has the characteristics of moisture resistance and anti pollution.
