How to choose the appropriate vacuum packaging bag based on the product?
The selection of packaging bags for different products may vary. Choosing vacuum packaging bags with appropriate product characteristics can not only enhance the product's image at the end, but also avoid waste and reduce production and operating costs. Because different products have different requirements for packaging materials, choosing the appropriate vacuum packaging requires us to determine based on the characteristics of the product. The factors that need to be considered in the selection of packaging bags mainly include whether the product is prone to deterioration, the main factors that cause product deterioration, the shape and surface hardness of the product, storage conditions and usage temperature, etc. Below, we will introduce them one by one:
- Products with regular shapes or soft surfaces:
For products with regular shapes or soft surfaces, such as sausage products, soy products, etc., it is not necessary to require high mechanical strength of the material, only the impact of the material's barrier properties and disinfection temperature on the material needs to be considered. Therefore, for such products, vacuum packaging bags with OPA/PE structure are generally used. If high-temperature disinfection (above 100 ℃) is required, OPA/CPP structure can be used, or PE can be used as the heat sealing layer.
- Products with high surface hardness:
Products such as bone and meat products, due to their high surface hardness and hard protrusions, are prone to puncturing the packaging bag during vacuum pumping and transportation. Therefore, the packaging bag for these products needs to have good puncture resistance and cushioning performance. Vacuum bags made of PET/PA/PE or OPET/OPA/CPP materials can be selected. If the product weight is below 500g, you can try using OPA/OPA/PE structure packaging bags, which have good product adaptability, better vacuum effect, and will not change the shape of the product.
- Perishable products:
Low temperature meat products and other products that are prone to spoilage and require low-temperature disinfection do not have high requirements for the strength of the packaging bag, but they require good barrier properties. Therefore, pure co extruded films such as PA/PE/EVOH/PA/PE structured films can be selected, or dry lamination methods such as PA/PE thin films and K coating materials can be used. High temperature products can use PVDC shrink bags or dry composite bags.
