The first China Packaging Innovation Design Forum was held to discuss the innovative development of packaging design
On May 26th, the First China Packaging Forum for Innovation Design and the 19th ‘ZHONGNAN STAR AWARD’ Design Art Competition Awarding Ceremony were held at the Innovation Valley Art and Culture Museum in South Taizi Lake, Wuhan. Seven experts and scholars in the industry conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on innovative trends in packaging design, jointly exploring the forefront and breakthroughs of the industry, understanding the latest innovative design concepts and technological trends at home and abroad, and further promoting the development and upgrading of China's packaging design industry.
Packaging design should focus on leveraging the bond between brands and consumers
In designing packaging works, it is important to have curiosity to discover design opportunities in life, to have empathy to enhance the knowledge and understanding of the design community, to utilize the value of insight, and then to try to create lovely and interactive products which will interest the target audience.
Art design should infuse human emotions into the form of the design
Designers are the director of emotion who need to integrate emotions into packaging design works, and only after the promotion is completed in the market can they truly fulfill their social responsibility. Cui Yong, dean of the School of Cultural Heritage and Art Design at Zhengzhou Institute of Engineering and Technology, said that as a Chinese packaging designer, we need to think more about how to promote the rejuvenation of traditional culture in the new era, and to handle sensibility, rationality, the sense of form, static and dynamic in a rational aesthetic tone based on modern context. In line with the values of Chinese civilization and the integration of diverse modern civilizations, Chinese elements are extracted and deconstructed to create new works which are contemporary and adopted by young people and and even the whole society.
